How to Arrive

How to get to Kilombo Tenonde Permangola,
From Salvador- Catch a ferry boat to Bom Despacho, from there you’ll take a bus to the city of Valença.
Go through the bus terminal and take another bus to the Povoado de Bomfim. Ask the motorist to drop you off at the Kilombo.

In case you wait a long time for the bus at the terminal in Valenca another option is to take a Kombi (white VW van) which would be 3 reais at the fair of Valenca, which passes at the Povoado de Bonfim. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from the bus terminal to the fair.

If you arrive after 17:20 and don’t see a bus or Kombi (VM Hippie Van), you can catch a taxi to the Povoado de Bonfim. There will be Nelson, a capoeira mestre and taxi driver that helps out by offering rides to the Kilombo for 50 reais. It would normally cost a lot more since it’s 20 kiilometers to the Kilombo. His number is (75) 3611-2663 or (75) 9147-1895
